Today is the last day before we leave for the first leg of our appropriately named 'tour de bibs'. We have scheduled 6 retail shows over the next 6 weeks, which requires us (me, Nicole, and my husband / business partner, Ron) to travel and work long hours, giving it our all, just like a marathon, for the sake of our business. Tis the season! I'm always excited going into it, and exhausted by the end of it. We are either traveling, setting up our booth, or working in our booth (for up to 12 hours a day) for all but 3 days over the next 6 weeks, so I apologize in advance if we are not looking as energetic or together as we should. If you are in any of the areas where we are selling, we hope to see you at our booth, even just to say hi and offer any feedback. We LOVE LOVE LOVE when people do this, and sometimes the encouraging words our lovely customers offer help us get through the days this time of year! Have you ever wondered what we do with our slightly imperfect bibs? Over the years some have been donated, some have been sold through our sales reps sample sales, but we have never held our own sample sale! We decided now is the time we do this, so if you're not picky about minor flaws such as a tiny hole or imperfection in the leather, or a stitching error (I personally think this adds character), or interesting color combinations (such as red hockey bibs made with fuchsia backs instead of beige by accident), then this event is for you!

As a mom of 2 little ones, I found them incredibly convenient and my children loved them as babies! I always kept a few packages in the diaper bag for when my son or daughter needed a little something to hold them over until their next feeding, or if they just needed to soothe their tender gums. It's official! We decided rather last minute to be a part of the Gift Lounge at the 2009 Canadian Country Music Association Awards in Vancouver. Producer of the event, Gabrielle Durning of the The Uptown Giftbox Company assured us that we have the ideal product - Canadian designed and made (check), leather (check), guitar bibs (check). We initially, and perhaps foolishly, turned down the opportunity for this major exposure due to lack of time during our busy trade show season, but decided the opportunity was just too good to pass up! We have carefully designed three exclusive limited edition custom guitar bibs in country inspired color schemes, which are sure to please!

Finally, the time has come to launch the new and highly anticipated Mally Designs / Mally Bibs website! Along with our stylin' new site, we are unveiling our new collection, our new look, some new promotions, and even some newly discontinued Mally Bibs on sale!

When designing our collection, we always keep 3 main goals in mind - baby friendliness, style appeal for all ages, and variety. Each year our collection gets a little better, and this year is certainly no exception.  The new collection boasts 65 designs in 2 sizes and we offer 21 colors. As always, we design our collection with various styles in mind from edgy to cute, modern to traditional. Our new pocket peeker designs include the food-catch pocket on the design side rather than the reverse.

We were thrilled when we were recently asked by Crocodile Baby to do their window displays with Mally Designs products.  We got to do 3 windows in total, 2 at their West 4th Vancouver location - 1 with Mally Bibs, and 1 with Mally Designs art cards, plus the window in the South Surrey store.  Retail display is what I did as a career prior to starting this business, so it was especially rewarding and fun
